Edward Herzinger inspects from frozen alfalfa in a field. Mr. Herzinger estimates that the cold temperatures reduced his hay crop by at least 25 per cent. In addition, he said what hay was left was of lower quality because of the frost. A house and some trees can be seen in the background, beyond the field.
